Sky
Sky is an 8-year-old purebred Alaskan Malamute who loves her people BIG. She is an extremely sweet, loving, and outgoing girl who would thrive in an adult-only home where she can truly be the queen of the house. Sky does not do well with female dogs, but would love nothing more than a large male dog to romp around with all day. Sky has gone through several years of obedience training, is crate trained, and does well with indoor cats. She isn’t without her quirks (who is?). Sky needs to be fed separately and should be left alone when enjoying snacks or toys. She does have some resource guarding tendencies, but does very well when her boundaries are respected. Due to her size and strong Malamute personality traits, an adult-only home is required. Sky loves people deeply, but she doesn’t always realize how big and powerful she is when excited or overwhelmed.
Sky needs a home where she can be the main focus, with plenty of exercise, structure, and love. What you pour into her, she will pour right back with snuggles, kisses, paw holding, lots of Malamute “songs,” and a lifetime of loyalty and love. Sky is looking for a new home because she is no longer getting along with the female dog in the home and has not adjusted well to life with young toddlers.Sky previously required a daily medication to help control her bladder, but after losing some weight she has no longer needed medication. She has a clean bill of health, is spayed, and is up to date on vaccinations.
If you think Sky may be the best friend you’ve been searching for, please contact Emma Schollmeyer at 573-301-3313. We are located in Central Missouri but are willing to travel to find Sky the perfect home. $150 rehoming fee.
Nala- Adoption Pending!!
Nala is a gorgeous 2 year old girl that was rescues as a pup. She is a MUCH loved member of her family, but (human) medical circumstances require her people to sadly find her a new home. Nala is a lovely girl with a great temperament that is well behaved.
Seth
Seth is a 1.5year old loving, devoted dog who wants nothing more than to be with his people. He would thrive in an active home, ideally with another dog and adults to play with. He currently attends doggy daycare and participates in a dog hiking group, both of which he greatly enjoys.
Seth can be shy when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar places, and he may need a little time to feel comfortable. He will look to his owner for guidance and follow their lead. Some people win him over immediately, while others require a slower introduction. He tends to gravitate toward women, although playful, easygoing men can quickly become favorites too. Once Seth trusts someone, he loves them with his whole heart, follows them room to room and just wants to be part of the pack. He would benefit from being around another confident dog so he can keep building his confidence and follow their lead.
He enjoys playing fetch and has lived successfully in a home with children. He will respect confident cats that stand their ground, but he may chase cats that run, so careful introductions and supervision would be important.
Because Seth has lived in a home where someone is usually present, he can occasionally become anxious when left alone for long periods. He will chew on his front paws when he thinks his family left forever. He is highly trainable and has completed PetSmart’s advanced training program. He knows sit, heel, stay, sit pretty, spin, and paw. He is crate trained and potty trained of course. Can do great on leash walking but likes to sniff. No resource guarding. Seth has a clean bill of health, is neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations.
Seth’s current family loves him deeply but has struggled to keep up with his mental and physical activity needs. Their highest priority is finding him an experienced Malamute home where he will receive the exercise, companionship, structure, and fulfilling life he deserves.
If you think Seth could be a good fit for your family, please reach out to Yelena - 224-305-2696. Seth is located in Madison Wi but will travel for the right pack. $150 Adoption fee.
